Your Tour starts with the drive to Tarangire, Tanzania’s fifth largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephants.

After breakfast, you drive to Lake Manyara. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippos and others.

From Lake Manyara you drive towards Serengeti one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in the world. First you reach the Naabi Hill Kopjes (huge granite boulders) where you can go for a short walk. After lunch you continue on game drives all afternoon at the vast Serengeti National Park, one of the most famous game reserves worldwide and named after the ancient Masai word ‘Siringeti’, meaning endless plains.

Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp in Ikoma, Serengeti.
Enjoy a full day of game drives around Serengeti. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many birds and other species.
Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp at Ikoma, Serengeti.
Early morning game drive in Serengeti followed by a visit to the hippo pools and the Seronera Visitors Center. After breakfast in the bush, you proceed with game driving till afternoon before you return to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. If you like you can reach your your beautiful country home style lodge in the afternoon and enjoy a restful afternoon. An interesting coffee plantation walk is offered by the lodge at 16:30 free of charge including coffee roasting and grinding ceremony.

Overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse.
Around 11:00 hrs you reach Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations and one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in its natural habitat.
There are various options to spend the remaining hours of the day (at an additional cost):
• Visit of a Masai Village (extra cost of 80 USD per vehicle).
• Ranger-guided Nature Walk along the Crater Rim (70 USD per person).

Overnight at Ngorongoro Farmhouse
Depending on your onward journey schedule you can do some activities in the morning such as walking in the forest of Ngorongoro following the Endoro Trail to the waterfall and elephant caves ( additional 40 USD per person ), visiting the lively farmers market of Karatu or do some souvenir shopping in Mto wa Mbu. Then, our safari driver-guide will take you back to Arusha arriving in the afternoon.
