Day 1 Arrival in Kigali.

On arrival at the Airport, You will be picked up by our professional driver-guide. This day depending on your arrival time you get a chance to view the beautiful clean city of Kigali. You will then be driven to your hotel for checking in and have a rest as we get ready for the next day’s activities.
After breakfast, you will visit the Genocide memorial site where thousands of innocent people lost their lives during the genocide of the mid-1990s in Rwanda and listen to the touching narratives of how people were cruelly put to death. During this you will move and tour around the city, You will have lunch and later visit the Presidential Palace Museum, we later to transfer to Ruhengeri near the Volcanoes National Park.
You will have an early breakfast and move to the Park headquarters where you will receive a briefing on the rules of gorilla trekking and be allocated the gorilla group you will be trekking. You will after the briefing be led by the ranger guides into the forest to search for the gorillas in the Volcano Virunga Hills and the verdant valley. Once traced you will spend a maximum of one hour observing the gorillas in their natural setting. The tracking will be a 2-5 hour exercise after which you will transfer to Kigali.
Have a free day to relax by the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.
There is a short list of optional activities: canoeing, swimming (safe in this lake), hiking on Bushara trail along the lake-shores, return to the lodge and relax / canoe ride along Lake Bunyonyi with small resident and exotic bird species singing. This can be an option for the next day as well. You will be staying at the _Bunyonyi View Gorilla Back Packers.
Bunyonyi means “place of little birds” and as the name suggests, there is plenty of birdlife around the lake. The landscape around the lake is made up of terraced hills protruding from the water’s edge. You will choose either to go for a canoe ride, swim on the lake or hike to the view point on the hills to see the exceedingly beautiful scenery of this part of the country.
After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’. Leave Lake Bunyonyi and continue driving through the hilly areas. Arrive in the park and have lunch at the lodge before heading for an afternoon game drive for viewing of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and impalas.
Early morning safari walk, get early up to visit the hyenas den, chance to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds buffaloes in their day break jungle life! Get back for breakfast and start the drive to Kampala. Have early lunch in Masaka and a stopover at the Equator.
After Break Fast depending on the Flight Time, Transfer to Entebbe International Airport.
