Day 1. Entebbe / Kampala to Queen Elizabeth Safari.
Day 2. Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park –Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Uganda.
Day 3. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi.
Day 4. Return to Entebbe / Kampala
In the morning at 8:00am after breakfast, you will be picked by our driver and start driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda. You will make a stop at the Equator to take photos and then proceed to Mbarara town where you will have lunch and then drive-on to Queen Elizabeth arriving in the mid-afternoon. Check into your lodge and go for go a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and Lake George for a great animal search where you will see large hippos and various bird species and this is a birders prime trip because this is a prime bird watching zone. After this great boat trip, you will return to the lodge for dinner and a great resting night. The lodges may be Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge, Jacana Safari Lodge or Institute Hostel for budget options for dinner and overnight.
Rise very early for a morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and predators – lion, and leopard, coming out from their hideouts searching for their prey. You will be likely to meet the big five creatures, elephants, buffalos, hippos, spotted plus the lions, waterbucks and stripped jackal, bushbucks, hyenas and leopards and many more, drive along the Kasenyi section and Queens mile section in the park and this morning game drive is so full of fun. Return to the lodge for lunch and shortly after we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park as we drive through Maramagambo forest and Ishasha and we arrive in the evening and you check into your lodge for dinner and rest as you wait for the gorillas tomorrow. You may stay at Bwindi lodge which is located in the park. Remember that gorilla tracking permits are booked in three months’ time before the actual safari.
At your lodge after breakfast, a great game ranger will be briefing you at 7:30 am about your energetic gorilla tracking activity and shortly after he will take you to begin tracking the gorillas in the mighty forest through the gorilla paths in the thick Bwindi Impenetrable rain forests searching for the giant mountain Gorillas as well as looking for other great mammals like leopards, elephants and monkeys the. On finding these great mountain gorillas, you will be given one hour to view, take photos with the gorillas and also interact with these great primates. After viewing these mind-blowers, we get back to the lodge for a late lunch and after which we go for a community interactive walk in the Batwa region. Return to the lodge for dinner and rest.
After breakfast in the morning, we relax for a short while as we pack our bags and begin driving back to Entebbe or Kampala to your hotel. We will drive you to the airport the following day depending on your departure time. End of safari.
